Alex is a technol journalist at Bloomberg writing about the ways social media and AI are transforming our world.
She previously covered tech for Forbes and Politico and spent three years as a columnist at The New York Times. Her writing has been featured on the front page of The Times, its Style section, The Village Voice and The Forward, and she has discussed her work on Bloomberg TV, CNBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC and NPR.
Alex won a Front Page Award in 2018 for her work on The Times's Metro desk and second place LA Press Club Awards in 2024, in the magazine feature and online business reporting categories, for her investigative work at Forbes.
She has a master's degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a bachelor of arts in English from the University of Pennsylvania.
For several years, Alex has also taught a course on tech journalism for School of the New York Times, and she's an alum of the Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics.
